Phuket Private Diving Tour

Charter Your Very Own Phuket Private Diving Tour

A Phuket private diving tour is sometimes the only way to beat the crowds. We try our very best on our own very comfortable dive boat MV Kebsup. It’s not always possible so occasionally it can feel a little crowded. Most divers enjoy the opportunity to meet fellow like minded people but some don’t. For those who’re not quite as gregarious as others then you can charter your own speedboat.

A private boat charter is the only way to ensure you get the Phuket diving sites to yourself. You can choose the dive sites you like and avoid other boats. It’s relatively inexpensive if you have a decent size group to share the costs.

Even though these boats are not owned by us, our staff will go with you to make sure everything runs smoothly and you receive the level of service and care that we pride ourselves on. There’s no better guides on the island than our super experienced PADI pro’s.

Where Can I Go?

Well that’s up to you, all of our local Phuket diving sites are certainly on the menu. You could even charter to the fabulous Similan Islands or the fantastic Southern Andaman dive sites. At the very southern tip of Racha Noi we have a seldom visited manta ray cleaning station! Definitely worth considering.

If you just want a half day and be back for lunch time, you can simply go to Racha Yai. In a speedboat the journey will only take about 25 minutes and you’ll be in the water long before the day trip boats arrive. You’ll then have the rest of the day to just relax back at your hotel or enjoy some Phuket sightseeing.

Only Diving?

Nooo, it’s your charter! If you want to go to a secluded beach in between dives then you can do so. If not all onboard are divers then they can go snorkelling, either direct from the boat or from the beach. At Phi Phi, Racha Noi and Racha Yai we can take you to great little beaches with very few or no other people. Have your picnic lunch either on the beach or on the boat, it’s really up to you.

Free diving and snorkelling is just as popular for private tours as diving. Again it will get you away from crowds, good snorkelling spots can often be very crowded. With your own boat you can either get there first or just divert to a place which is just as good but not convenient for the larger boats.

What Do We Do On Your Phuket Private Diving Charter

Organise the boat of your choice and our excellent staff will accompany you. Diving or swimming supervision will be undertaken by our experienced PADI professionals to ensure your safety and enjoyment. All equipment will be supplied by us. We don’t trust anybody else when it comes to your safety or the standard of the scuba equipment you’ll be using.

How Much Does It Cost?

That depends on numbers, destination and the standard of boat you’d prefer. When there’s a just two or three of you then it will seem quite expensive but for larger groups it will feel like a bargain. Fast comfortable speedboats will cost from THB 25,000 per day. If you want something luxurious then we can arrange fast yachts that vary in price from THB 65,000 to super luxurious THB 400,000. A slower but classy yacht starts from THB 29,000

getting to grips with iso Photo Tips & Tricks

Understanding ISO Underwater

What ISO stands isn't going to give you much of a clue as to what it does. ISO simply stands for International Standardisation Organisation, nothing much to pick from that. Back in the 70's two film standards (ASA & DIN) combined to make a standard measure for film sensitivity. Modern digital manufacturers have kept to the same measurements to maintain similar brightness levels as film. Essentially ISO tells your camera how bright the photo s [...]

Leopard Sharks In Phuket

We call them leopard sharks in Phuket and in south east asia in general but the rest of the world refers to Stegostoma (covered mouth) fasciatum (banded) as zebra sharks. Along the west coast of the US and Mexico, a small hound shark - Triakis semifasciatais is commonly referred to as leopard shark. It must have been named by somebody who's never seen a leopard, the markings have no real resemblance. We'll stick to calling them leopards shark [...]
